Calpe is one of the most popular destinations for tourists of the Costa Blanca. There are more than 60 housing-estates around the old town and the beaches. The small town with its approximately 30.000 habitants has not only 2 big sandy beaches but also a lot of small bays.
The town is famous for its hill (332 meters), Peñon de Ifach, which is the symbol of the whole Costa Blanca. The rock is united with the land by a small spit and it is under conservation. You can go to the peak on a small trail. From there you are able to see the whole town.
